Jong's Crocodile Farm Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia.....Crocodiles..!!!!
A trip to Jong's Crocodile Farm is a must for anyone who visits Kuching or even locals who never been there before. =P. There are a lot of crocodiles.
(Yes, crocodiles....what do you expect from a crocodile farm??? Chickens??? =p)Now, perhaps you think that it is just a crocodile farm similar to all the crocodiles farm everywhere. Well, this Jong's Crocodile Farm is the final resting place of the infamous Happy Bachelor, locally known as Bujang Senang. (Now, try to beat that)
(Don't even ask me why it is called Happy Bachelor, I think it is supposed to be a direct translation. At least it is not called Easy Bachelor.... =p)What is Bujang Senang aka Happy Bachelor? (Just in case some of you still don't know yet.) Bujang Senang aka Happy Bachelor is one kick ass notorious crocodile in Sarawak. It grew to around 6 meters in length ( To help you visualize, imagine 3 Yao Ming) and weighs around 900kg (Now that is what i call a HUGE ass crocodile)
Happy Bachelor is addicted to one type of food, humans and went on a killing rampage around Sri Aman Area, Batang Lupar to be exact. This elusive crocodile was captured after much efforts and in its "career" the number of humans eaten is around 13 that is accounted for.
(How bout unaccounted ones? =p)
(How bout unaccounted ones? =p)
Anyway, back to Jong's Crocodile farm. It is located 30KM from Kuching on the Kuching-Serian Road. There are other wildlife aside from crocodiles but lets just focus on the crocodiles shall we. Enough with the introduction, time for pictures. =p

CAGE FIGHT!!!!!!
...............................................................................................................................................................
Now, the main attraction in my opinion is the feeding time of the crocodiles. They start the feeding by ringing the bells and you can see lots of crocodiles coming over. LOTS. Then they throw some into the pond and some they hook it on the string of a pulley kind of machine in order to let the audience see.....JUMPING crocodiles..Yes. Jumping.

ReplyDeleteAnon: Hi Anon, Thanks for the info. The Happy Bachelor part is just the humor part.. =).. Anyway, thanks for the explanation. Now we all know. Thanks.
