Car Stolen Alert

Image
***Note*** Just if you want to know, I got well and healthy already. Not that anyone wants to know anyway. Crime is definitely on the rise. Almost everyday, there are news about crimes such as murder, robbery, car-jacking and so forth. Especially with the ever so inefficient "effective and efficient" law enforcers. We need some vigilante or something . The public should be alert and be helpful in the event of crime being committed. Not that we are taking law into our own hands. That is illegal you know. However, the sad case is that most of the general public would not care less about what happen to other people just because of the fact that it does not happen to them. They would prefer to not help or interfere in preventing crime as they are afraid that they would be in trouble. The mindset of "it does not concerns me-does not affect me -not happening to me so there is no need to worry or help" kind of thing becomes all "ME, ME, ME, ME, ME.....I, I, I, I, I&q

Magazine Cover

Image
I have to confess. I am drawn to the dark side after looking at the magazine-making-attempt by 3Point8 and Levian . Don't have a choice but to concur with the dark urge. Have to create a magazine cover because a friend ask yours truly to edit her picture it is the right thing to do. Presenting yours truly futile attempt at editing. Be NICE, Don't laugh. At least I have tried. ***Note*** The concepts are actually inspired by a few real magazine cover that I found while googling. Credits to them =p

Chap Goh Meh aka Chinese Valentine Day

Image
Today is Chap Goh Meh (pronounced in Hokkien) literally means 15 night actually represents the 15th and the last day of the Lunar New Year according to the Lunar Calendar. In other words, the Chinese New Year officially ends. (Yes, we Chinese have 15 days celebration of Chinese New Year. But here we only have two days public holidays ). This is the day where one get to see the first full moon of the New Year. That is IF it does not rain tonight. Traditionally, people eat "tangyuan"( rice dumplings in soup ) that symbolize the unity of family members with the lighting up of lanterns. This day is also considered as Chinese Valentine's Day. Young unmarried women would gather around and toss tangerines/oranges into the sea hoping that fate would guide their future husband to pick it up. This is because in the olden days, young women are not allowed to go out and this night is one of the few occasions where young eligible women dressed to kill impress, were allowed to go out

Bak Gua aka Dried Meat

Image
For the Chinese New Year celebration, "Bak Gua" is almost a MUST in every celebrating household. For those who don't know, "Bak Gua" is translated into dried meat traditionally made from pork. "Bak Gua" is also identified as the main cause or the culprit for the sudden increase of overweight people after Chinese New Year. Heck, even during the Chinese New Year the overweight symptom can be observed due to excessive consumption of "Bak Gua" combined with carbonated drinks. "Bak Gua"- Bacon type Yours Truly, like every normal person celebrating Chinese New Year are not spared from the sinful indulgence. Yes, sinful to health. Almost everyday, be it breakfast or lunch or dinner there is always a time where the mouth is full of "Bak Gua" and the same with the hand holding a plate full of "Bak Gua". It doesn't helps that during visits to houses, "Bak Gua" will be automatically served and so convenientl

Sushi King @ The Spring

Image
Hajime Mashite, This post would be quite outdated as I am sure there are many blogs that have already blogged about this. Nevertheless, this is a post on Sushi King at The Spring, Kuching. Went to Sushi King for a few times already and only today I manage to take pictures which indirectly says my Canon Powershot A70 is back. Repaired. No charges as the camera is manufactured faulty. The exact name of the problem is the " Image Phenomena Due To CCD Malfunction ". Lets see how long it will last before it broke down again like the previous few times. If its not for the friendly customer service, I would have complained on and on about it non-stop. Back to the post. Sushi King. So far, there are two Sushi King outlets in Kuching. One is located at the Spring and the other one is located at Boulevard. The "considerable" famous logo When you enter Sushi King, you will hear the staffs there shouting their lungs out to welcome the customers. If one doesn't know it, it i
