***UPDATES***
The opening hours has changed again. Seems like they don't know how to make up their mind. Such indecisiveness. =p.

***Let me warn ya.***
This is a post about health and fitness. For those who doesn't care or those couch potatoes may opt to not continue reading. Thank You.
Before I start, let me take a moment of your time to shamelessly promote my other posts on topics related to health and fitness. I am no expert on being healthy, getting fit and all but I AM a tad OVERWEIGHT who is trying his best to keep fit without controlling the amount of food intake.
Anyway, one of my resolution for the new year is to go to the gym at least once a week for the entire year. Been going to the Gimnasium Rakyat. Direct translation would be People's Gym. One of the biggest motivation of going to the gym is for the fact that it is FREE.
(You see, I don't see the point of paying people to inflict pain and make your whole body sore. Nope, am not the SM type. Since its free, why not?)

The gym is operated under the Ministry of Youth and Sports. In Kuching, it is at the Ministry of Youth and Sports Complex located near Saberkas or just beside the UNIMAS medical faculty. In other words, it is operated by the government which also can be translated to funded by the people. From the tax and stuff contributed to the government, remember? Hence the name People's Gym. I suppose.
Which also means all of ya are paying for me gym sessions. Well, not only me but for all the citizen of Malaysia. So, are you utilizing it? Go to your nearest People's Gym from now on. Get healthy and stay healthy.
(Since it is FREE, be warned that at times it will be PACKED with all those health conscious people.)

That explained. Time for pictures. The gym have an array of gym equipments which I think is sufficient for a whole body workout.
However, you are required to fill in a form for record before using the gym. After you registered, before each session, there is a log book that you need to fill in.

Emir Imran: The place has since been renovated. Not sure whether the gym is still there or not. Now it has olympic sized swimming pool if not mistaken. It is the Komplex Belia dan Sukan behind Saberkas.
