What is LOVE exactly.

How to define LOVE? What is the definition of LOVE?
Money = Love?

Now, don't get me wrong. I am not the emotional type of person until to a point where you can say that romantic is the last word that can describe me and the fact that I am never good with words helps boost the unromantic reputation BUT I am also not THAT emotionless.
(Yes, I am contradicting myself. The heck am I saying... =p)

If you are a church goer and a devout Christian then you might define LOVE as what the Bible defines it. Love as the Bible defines it is like the following:

Love is patient, Love is kind.
It does not envy.
Love is never boastful, nor conceited, nor rude.
It is not self-seeking, nor easily angered.
It keeps no record of wrongdoing.
It does not delight in evil,
But rejoices in the truth.
It always protects, trusts, hopes, and preserves.

Anyway, there is this 18 question of Love that might help in defining LOVE.
(Not all will agree to this I think)

1. Are your palms sweaty, is your heart racing,
and your voice caught within your chest?
It isn’t love, it’s LIKE

2. You can’t keep your eyes or hands off of your
partner?
It isn’t love, its LUST

3. Are you proud and eager to show your partner
off?
It isn’t love, its LUCK

4. Do you want to be with him or her because you
know he/she is there?
It isn’t love, its LONELINESS
5. Are you there because it’s what everyone wants?
It isn’t love, its LOYALTY

6. Do you stay for his or her confessions of LOVE,
because you don’t want to hurt your partner?
It isn’t love, its PITY

7. Are you there because your partner kissed you,
or held your hand?
It isn’t love, its UNCONFIDENT

8. Do you belong to your partner because his or
her sight makes your heart skip a beat?
It isn’t love, its INFATUATION

9. Do you pardon your partner’s faults because
you care about him or her?
It isn’t love, its FRIENDSHIP

10. Do you tell your partner everyday that he or
she is the only one you think of?
It isn’t love, it’s a LIE

11. Are you willing to give all of your favorite things
for his/her sake?
It isn’t love, its CHARITY

12. Does your heart ache and break when your
partner is sad?
Then it is LOVE.

13. Are you attracted to others, but stay with your
partner faithfully without regrets?
Then it is LOVE

14. Do you accept your partner’s faults because
your partner is a part of who he or she is?
Then it is LOVE

15.Do you cry for your partner’s pain, even when
your partner is strong?
Then it is LOVE

16. Does your partner’s eye see your true heart,
and touch your soul so deeply that it hurts?
Then it is LOVE

17. Do you stay because a blinding,
incomprehensible mix of pain and elation
pulls you close and hold you?
Then it is LOVE

18. Would you give them your heart, your life, your death?
Then it is LOVE

    I like this definition of love best--Love is patient...It always protects, trusts, hopes, and preserves. :)

    Love is simple but complex. No need to explain a lot or define but need to do a lot to prove it's truth.

    lukxiufung: Love is to make love?? then does that mean when u r making love with somemore means u love her? =P wow, who'll be tat lucky girl then? =D

    Nobody can define love...what is love actually? till now, i still dunno how to define love...i only know that as long as there is a "chemistry" between two gender n wants to be with him/her for the rest of life is consider "love" =)...

    in conclusion, we are just looking for someone who is comfortable to be with n can accompany us for the rest of our life~~

    Love for me... I mean

    Real love for me is.... love unconditionally... love selflessly... love someone for who he/she is, now what you want he/she to be...

    Wah... I so philosophical until myself beh tahan... and I am not even love struck... *go take a cold bath* Mana prince charming??? I think hire cupid better right? Keke... Last night I cant sleep and wrote a so-called "love poem" is that called Love? Let me see sounds like boring/kill time more like it... wakkaa

    waa, dr love cometh XD well to me that 18 questions some are pretty arguable tho, everyone's definition about love is different and we show them differently. :) can't take it as a guide for me haha... i have another philosophy you can say :P
