Confidence............

Been chatting with my friend this morning about the thing that is in most of us but often neglected or being pressed down by reasons that causes one being smaller and smaller in front of others.

CONFIDENCE in my opinion is entirely up to oneself. If you look down on yourself and not confident, how do you suppose others to have confidence in you? However, saying is easier than done as most people would have it.

My friend added that, as we grow up, we have the tendency to lose confidence gradually. This has its own credit but ultimately it is up to you on whether you are confident or not.

Why does anyone want to be small or feels inferior about oneself? If you yourself do not look down on yourself and full of confidence in your own right, then NO ONE could ever make you lose your own confidence.

There is this quote from Marianne Williamson that I like.

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.

Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.

It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us.

We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous,
talented and fabulous?

Actually, who are you not to be?

You are a child of God.

Your playing small does not serve the world.

There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.

We were born to make manifest the glory of
God that is within us.

It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone.

And as we let our own light shine,

we unconsciously give other people
permission to do the same.

As we are liberated from our own fear,
Our presence automatically liberates others."

So there, motivational enough or not for all of you who have no confidence in yourself........
