RICE DUMPLING FESTIVAL or known as the Dragon Boat Festival. Rice Dumpling or commonly called Zongzi is traditionally eaten during this festival which falls on the fifth day of the fifth month of the Chinese calendar.A little bit of history here, the festival is held to commemorate the death of a famous Chinese poet called Qu Yuan. Apparently this guy lived during the Warring States period which if I am not mistaken is the period of war. So, known for his patriotism, he is against his country’s ambition to expand and conquer the Qin country. Oh, did I mention this guy is from Chu country? So, War it is with Chu country on the losing side. Legend has it that, this Qu Yuan guy committed suicide when the Chu country King does not take heed of his advice. Sad, disappointed and angry at the corrupted withering country, this guy tied himself to a big rock and threw himself into the river. (Don’t ask me how this guy supposed to tie himself to a BIG rock then proceed to throw himself to a riv...

Last night went to Kim's Kitchen , a Korean restaurant just opened a few days ago. More like a Father's Day dinner together. It's located at Wisma Pheonix, the place where the old upwell supermarket used to be. Almost opposite Secret Recipe. The food is very affordable and nice although the variety could be improved. Been chatting with my friend this morning about the thing that is in most of us but often neglected or being pressed down by reasons that causes one being smaller and smaller in front of others. CONFIDENCE in my opinion is entirely up to oneself. If you look down on yourself and not confident, how do you suppose others to have confidence in you? However, saying is easier than done as most people would have it. My friend added that, as we grow up, we have the tendency to lose confidence gradually. This has its own credit but ultimately it is up to you on whether you are confident or not. Why does anyone want to be small or feels inferior about oneself? If you yourself do not look down on yourself and full of confidence in your own right, then NO ONE could ever make you lose your own confidence.
